Ah, the subtle differences between British and American spelling. These, my friends, have vexed linguists, grammarians, and lexicographers for ages.
Shall it be spelled color or colour? Theater or theatre?
Who, indeed who, is to tell?
If you have any intention of being able to survive in this world of multiple dialects and variations in linguistic stylization, it is imperative that you understand these differences.
Go ahead, indulge yourself in this pretentious and pedantic spelling test!

Thanks for posting this quiz, along with all the other ones. The differences between American and British spelling can confusing. Technically, both spellings are correct, especially today when we live in such a globally connected world.
Especially in Europe where we often learn British English in school but then are influenced by Americal English so we will use a mix when spelling which looks pretty awful both to Americans and Brits.
