If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
This is a set of practice questions for the verbal section of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). These questions are in the “analogy” form, which is the most difficult type of question that can be found on the GRE verbal section.
When I took the test myself, these were the only questions that I had trouble with, and in order to do well I had to work on practice questions day and night for weeks before the examination.
If you think that you’re up to the challenge, go ahead and take this test. See how well you do and how much work you need in order to pass.

In addition to the regular GRE test which anyone who wants to go to graduate school must take, there are also GRE subject tests that are required for eight or so subjects.
One of these subjects is Literature in English.
If you are planning to apply to several PHD programs in English Literature, chances are that you will have to take this test. Sure, there are a couple of Universities that don’t care about it (like Duke, Brown, and Columbia), but most of them want you to take it.
It’s hard. I won’t lie.
However, this practice test is an official publication of ETS, so it should give you an idea of how much studying you need to do.

There’s also a MATH SECTION on the GMAT, remember? I know, you almost forgot. But you can’t let this happen. Don’t just study for the verbal section and forget all about your math.
Today, I’ve posted a geometry practice test for the GMAT. There are going to be at least six questions on Geometry on the GMAT so you ignore this topic at your own peril.

If you want to get into graduate school as a business major, you’re going to have to take the GMAT. And if you want to do well on the GMAT and get into a top school, you really need to improve your vocabulary.
This practice test will help you find out if you are on the right track. There are ten questions, and if you can answer at least nine of them correctly, you are in pretty good shape. But if you miss two or more, I suggest putting in some serious study time before you take the GMAT!

Learning to read in English is no joke. English is a difficult and irregular language with scores of exceptions to every rule.
This is why American universities require foreign students to take the TOEFL which tests your ability to read and speak English as a second language.
If you need to take the TOEFL soon, you should start studying immediately. The earlier the better! This test can be surprisingly difficult!
Don’t worry, though. I’ve just posted a long TOEFL practice test that you can use to improve your score.
