SAT Practice Test 1

If you are taking the SAT soon, a diagnostic test may be one of the most important ways that you can prepare. Why not take one right now so that you can find out where you stand?

The SAT is a tough exam, but if you prepare, it isn’t all that hard to beat. But you have to at least have some idea of what the test is like to start preparing. This diagnostic test is a great way to get started.

“Reading Comprehension” is one of the categories of questions that you will find on the language portion of the SAT standardized test.

Many people find these questions fairly easy to answer, since they are based less on your understanding of vocabulary than on your ability to simply understand the argument or narrative of a series of paragraphs.

However, there are some test takers who have the opposite experience, and while they do quite well on other portions, have difficulty with Reading Comprehension.

If you are among of this type of test taker, you might do well to take a look at this practice test. It will help you to better your ability to understand and answer questions about short written passages.

Reading Comprehension

Data Analysis is one of the less lauded and less adored question types which are likely to be found on the SAT.

While not quite as popular in school as Antonym Matching and Algebra, Data Analysis was always fun to be around and knew how to have a jolly good time. Plus Data Analysis was a great dancer!

But in all seriousness folks, Data Analysis is no joke. You need to know this one inside and out if you plan to do well on the SAT.

But don’t take my word for it. Take this test to become familiar with this tricky question type.

AHAHAAHAHAH!!!!!

Right? I know, the SATs make me feel crazy too. I think we can all identify with this kind of anxiety at being forced to take a long and tedious standardized test.

You start sleeping less, waking up with cold sweats, constantly worrying about mathematical identities and grammatical rules. You start to question whether or not you were even meant to go to college…

STOP RIGHT THERE! The SATs are not as bad as you think. You just need to study for them a little bit and you’ll be fine.

Start with this helpful geometry test.

Even if you’ve taken Algebra recently in high school, you should still brush up on your skills before taking the SAT.

Your results on the SAT may determine which colleges that you are able to be matriculated into. This means that you must take this test very seriously.

The SAT is a stress filled environment. This means that even if you usually do quite well in algebra, your performance may become unpredictable once you are confronted with the foreign nature of this new situation.

For this reason, you should know your algebra like you know inside of your shoes.

This practice test should be enough to at least get you started.
