Ah, spelling; the great friend of pedants and schoolmasters.
This test serves as a compendium of the twenty most (perhaps) difficult words to spell in the entirety of the English language.
Once you finish the test, you will have an opportunity to compare your score against those of the most pedantic and pretentious martinets in all of spelldom. Now won’t that be fun?
Sure, spelling is important. So if you want to be able to spell without errors, this test isn’t such a bad idea.

Spelling is one of those nasty little pedantic skills that some people possess and others don’t.
A lack of sufficient spelling skills is a disability that can easily remedied.
However, certain elements of our culture continue to insist on holding national competitions that test and lionize this skill.
So, if you are interested in attaining spelling skills, you might as well practice using this online spelling bee.

Plurals are words that come in pairs or more …
Dogs, cats, rabbits, bikes, trikes, saxophones, oxen, alumni.
These are all plurals.
Sometimes, plurals are difficult to spell. However, people who practice their plurals should be without troubles. Therefore, people should always spend as many hours as possible practicing their plurals so that when teachers ask them how to spell them, they know.
Perhaps you people have noticed that we have only used plural nouns throughout the preceding paragraphs?

Were you the class star or where you the kid who couldn’t spell anything right? Well, even if you couldn’t spell the word “school” back then, today you can have a second chance at life, a chance to start all over again and make your fifth grad teacher proud.

It often seems to me that there just aren’t many people left around who have a genuine love for spelling. It’s one of those things that people scoff at. Spelling, it’s so pedantic, they say.
But there is, on the outskirts of human society, aye, there is a small group of devoted spellers, human beings who enroll their young in vigorous competitions of the mind in which the only weapon of engagement is their ability to correctly place one letter in front of another in the right order, and hopefully recreate that one word that will become the deciding factor in the courses of the rest of their lives…
But for the rest of us, simply spelling a word like “diagram” can be quite a challenge. For this reason, we have tried to devise clever ways to improve our spelling though books and study materials. This new test a prime example of this type of a study material, and as such, I think that you will find it quite useful.

Clearly the sentence that you have just read above is over-saturated with spelling errors, they practically spill over the brim, falling to the floor bellow for some poor unfortunate housekeeper to clean up. What a shame.

Spelling is one of those unavoidable obsessions practiced by the worst of pedants. However, because we live in a world virtually ruled by pedants, the only way to beat them is to become a pedant oneself.
What better way to do this, than to become an expert speller?
What better way to become an expert speller than to spend two and a half hours each day practicing your spelling with the spelling tests in this newly posted test category?
Honestly, I can’t think of a better way.
