A friend once spoke about colors.
She had found–she intimated to me–that by concentrating with sagacity upon that single color designated as “the favorite” she could divine a certain something concerning her inner life, that invisible realm that no one, no not even he, could know of.
This color must remain nameless, for she would never reveal its hue, this being her most closely guarded secret. But who was she? Could she, in fact, learn to know herself through her color? Could she, she wondered, gaze into its eternal glow, into that monolithic chromatic field of being, without herself becoming and believing in the self-same reality of her color?
She did not know. Nor would she.
