This mental muscle test is yet another free personality test based on the 16 types model. Of course, the great thing about having several of these tests online, is that you can compare your results among them. This way you can better validate your personality type.

But be warned, these tests can be pretty expensive. A genuine assessment with personal counselling could cost you upwards of forty dollars. But never fear, I’ve just found an online equivalent that you can take for free!

It is titled simply “Your Personality Test” and by taking it you will find out which of the sixteen possible personality types matches you best!

Your Personality Test

One world, different perspectives. Is the world a happy place to live in? Or just a very plain place where you have no choice but to strive to survive.

There’s a test that will help you realize how positive or negative you see things around you. Its the Jung Typology test.

Jung typology test is based on the theories of Carl Gustav Jung. It is a psychometric questionnaire designed to measure psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make decisions.

The test was created during World War II for women who were entering the industrial workforce for the first time. To determine their knowledge and personality and to identify the war time jobs which they will be most comfortable and effective.

Based on Jungs theories of four personality dimensions where each dimesion may be one of two values (actually it is a continous scale):

  • Introvert or Extrovert
  • INtuitive or Sensing
  • Thinker or Feeler
  • Percepting or Judging

There are 2×2x2×2 or 16 diffrent combinations possible.

The best way to find out which of the 16 combinations you are is to take a Jung personality type test. Real tests are quite expensive and require a psychologist to interpret. But for your amusement you may try a test of Jung type as long as you don’t take it too seriously.

This new test is based off of Swiss Psychologist Carl Jung’s theories of psychological typology.

Here’s how it works:

You answer about 70 questions about your personal habits and psychological disposition. Once you have done this the test will give you a score rating your personality in four different categories.

Extraversion — Introversion

Sensing — iNtuition

Thinking — Feeling

Judging — Percieving

For example, I am an INFJ. What is your personality type? It’s easy to find out, and it’s free! And once you finish, the test will tell you which types of professions work well with your personality as well as a list of famous people that share your type.

You’ll be surprised at how well this test can describe you and your personal habits after nothing more than a few simple questions! It shouldn’t take more than 15 to 20 minutes to get the most out of this test. It can also be really fun to get a few of your friends together and compare results. You might be surprised at what you find!

Corporations, psychologists, therapists, church groups, you name it; they’ve all used tests as a method for helping people understand themselves and their unique personalities.

Based on the work of Carl Jung from the early 20th Century, such tests evaluate each individual along four different axes or “dichotomies.”

Extraversion — Introversion

Sensing — Intuition

Thinking — Feeling

Judging — Percieving

Theoretically, each individual fits into one of the categories two in each of these four dichotomies, creating a total of 16 unique personality types.

If you haven’t taken the a Jung personality yet, you really should check it out. It will totally change the way you think about your self and the world that you live in.
