It is just as important to develop your ten key typing skills as it is to develop your ability to type full words and sentences.

Your ten key typing involves typing numbers as opposed to letters. This why it is referred to as “ten key,” because the main ten keys are 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 and 0. However, “ten key” typing also commonly involves other characters such as – + . etc.

This diagnostic test will tell you what your per minute typing rate is for ten keys.

If you want to be an accountant, desk clerk, or even a cashier. Ten key typing is a a great skill to have.

The great thing about this typing test is that it lets you automatically upload your results to Facebook and Twitter. This makes it even easier than before to endlessly brag about your adept typing skills.

Don’t you love technology?

Other than that, this is basically your typical typing test. You will see a paragraph or so of text and you’ll have to type out as much of it as you possibly can in one minute. At the end you will find out what your typing speed is in words per minute.

We all lie about our words per minute from time to time, I know that I do. When I’m with my closest friends I’m fairly honest; I tell them that I type forty words per minute, which is only a couple of words over my actual speed. With acquaintances, I fudge the numbers a little more, usually saying that I type fifty or fifty-five WPM. But when I’m on a hot date, my nose starts to grow like a zucchini in the fall! I once told a pretty girl that my WPM was 95!

Ah, yes. No, you are not mistaken. We have another wonderful typing test on file for you my friends. And this one uses the introduction to Mark Twain’s classic novel Huckleberry Finn as its source text.

Now doesn’t that sound fun, eh?

I must say that in all the years that we’ve been posting tests for you wonderful people–our public, or cyberpublic as it may be said–there has seldom been such a wonderful typing test available as this one.

But I suppose I should let the ultimate judgment upon that point rest upon the head which sets upon your shoulders. No?

Typing Speed Test

This is probably one of the least boring typing test that I have ever had the pleasure of reviewing for 2H.com, no joke.

This is a typing test with byte (get it? multiple puns working here). You have a typing queue near the bottom of the screen, but at the top, there are all these little clouds with words on them. You have to type the words that you see on the clouds, and then this little snake looking thing made of multicolored circles (I kid you not) comes out of nowhere and obliterates the word clouds after you type them.

It’s intensely addictive and entertaining. A great way to practice your typing.

Barracuda Typing Test

So, “Mr. Kent” has decided for some reason that it is important to “update” his typing test.

The result?

A crazy-neck typing test with lots of “cooky” sentences with adjectives where they don’t belong and a lot of other really edgy stuff.

It’s all good fun ‘though. And you can improve your typing speed while reading crazy mixed-up sentences generated by Mr Kent’s magic sentence creation machine of wonderment.

I strongly urge you to give this one a try.
