Typing is a skill that is essential in today’s information driven economy. If you can’t type with lighting speed, you’re going to get left behind, my friend. This is just the sad reality.
However, you can always improve your typing skills with practice, and why not? There are plenty of free practice materials online for you to choose from! You can start with this free online typing test that I’ve just posted.
This one is unique in that it can be embedded into any webpage that is accessed by a javascript ready browser.

Your two hands and ten fingers need to be kept in shape like a well oiled machine, ESPECIALLY if you have a job that requires a large amount of typing. If you want to keep yourself up to speed and not get left behind by the pack, your typing skills will require constant practice and honing.
There are a lot of online typing tests out there which you can use to hone your skills. The one that I’m posting here is just one of them, but it’s probably one of the better ones. It’s very user friendly and effective.

And yet, many people can only type ten or twenty words per minute, drastically reducing their chances for success in the information economy.
Luckily, you don’t have to “hunt and peck” for your entire life.
Take this typing test, use it for practice once every day, and in no time you’ll start to see an improvement.

New Test: Typing Tests

There are almost as many typing tests out there as bored over-educated computer programmers with nothing better to do than create hardly necessary web-applications.
However, this typing test at least allows you the option of uploading your own text to use for the test, which is quite an advantage over most other tests.
In fact, I think that this is the only test that I’ve seen so far that has this function. Nice, huh?
Anyways, I’ll spare you all the usual lionizing of typing skills. You know that they are as essential as staple removers when it comes to the modern workplace. I trust that you’ll do the right thing and practice until your fingers turn blue.

New Test: Ten Key Typing Test

Sure, we all know how to type. And most people have more or less mastered the art of typing fifty plus words per minute.
But have you ever stopped to wonder how fast you are able to type numbers?
In some fields, your ten key skills (i.e. you ability to type numbers quickly and accurately) are just as important as your word typing skills.
Many employers require that you are able to type very quickly using the ten key method. Do you have what it takes to measure up?

Typing tests are a dime a dozen these days, but this one that I’ve just posted is a notch above the rest.
Most typing tests are too easy, so even if you’re an abject typist, you might end up still scoring something like 50 or 60 words per minute.
Not with this test! If you can’t cut it, you’re going to crash and burn, baby.
Give it a try! But don’t get your feelings hurt if you do poorly.

The Fast and the Typist

We know your fast, yeah fast in typing and we know you want to acquire professional typing skills. Not bad! Of course you can.
Sometimes we feel the need to type real faster if we’re typing according to the dictates of our minds and we need to type it all before it slips away. Or if we have so many ideas in mind and need to type it all before it’s gone.
There’s nothing wrong with improving skills and its always… always good to aim higher and bigger.
So yeah! Take the skills test and know how fast your typing skills. Also excellent for practice.

New Test: Typing Test

I’ve just uploaded a new typing test which works a little differently than most.
Your run of the mill typing test usually works by giving you a set time limit (such as 1 minute) in which you are to type as many words as you possibly can.
This test however works under a different model. The test simply serves up a few sentences, and you have to type them as quickly as you can, without errors. Then the test measures how much time you took.
Basically, in this test, time is the variable. So, the test is literally measuring how fast you type.
Try the Typing Test if you dare.

It’s an essential skill that you need to have if you want to work in an office job.
It’s something that you better be able to do if you plan to go to college (unless you want to pay the nerd down the hall to type up all of your papers for you).
It is now one of the most popular means of comunication in the world.
If you can’t type, you need to learn. This new test will not only test your typing abilities but will also function as a great practice tool for increasing your overall speed and accuracy.
